UP APO New Syllabus 2025

UPPSC APO Exam will be held in three stages. These are mentioned below –

  • Preliminary Exam (Objective Type)
  • Mains Exam (Subjective Type) and
  • Personal Interview

UP APO syllabus has been updated for 2025, with major changes in both the Prelims and Mains exam. New criminal laws (Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam), the Indian Constitution, and minor acts have been added, and the marks distribution for Mains has changed significantly.

Key Points of Syllabus Change

  • New Indian criminal laws (BNS, BNSS, BSA) have replaced IPC, CrPC, and Evidence Act in both Prelims and Mains.
  • Minor Acts and Indian Constitution are newly added for Mains.
  • General English paper introduced in Mains (50 marks).
  • GK paper marks reduced in Mains, Hindi paper unchanged.
  • Prelims and Mains now feature greater focus on practical law applications and current legal developments.

Uttar Pradesh APO Viva-voce 2025

Relatively more meritorious candidates from among those who appeared in the Mains Examination in the ration of having regard to the number of vacancies shall be called for viva-voce to be conducted. The viva-voce will be of 50 marks. The final merit list will be prepared by adding the marks obtained by a candidate in the mains exam and viva-voce.
